Sahn Ward Celebrates 40 Years of Cohen Children’s Medical Center

Managing Member Michael H. Sahn attended the Cohen Children’s Medical Center’s 40th birthday celebration at Citi Field in Flushing on November 7.

Sahn Ward was a Chess Sponsor of Cohen Children’s Medical Center’s 40th birthday celebration, which took place at Citi Field in Flushing on Tuesday, November 7.

The Firm has special connections to the hospital. Managing Member Michael H. Sahn’s son, Dr. Benjamin Sahn, practices at the center’s Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. Michael and his family have been long time supporters of CCMC. Firm member Dan Braff serves on the CCMC annual golf outing committee, raising funds for important programs at the Hospital. Adam Koblenz, a Member with the Firm, is a board member with the Children’s Medical Fund of New York (CMF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds for the Cohen Children’s Medical Center. In 2017, he and his wife helped open the Children’s Medical Fund Center for Diagnostic Studies, located on the center’s fourth floor. Mr. Koblenz also co-chairs the Tennis Committee for the CMF’s annual Golf & Tennis Classic.

Joel Shafferman Talks to NYREJ on WeWork Bankruptcy

Meaghan Hassan Joins Careers in Real Estate Panel at Hofstra University

Meaghan Hassan, an Associate with the Firm, was a panelist at the Careers in Real Estate event, which took place at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University on November 15. The event was presented by the Real Estate Law Association.

During the presentation, she spoke about her experiences at the Firm and the resources and mentors that helped shape her experience in her first year after graduating from law school.

Ms. Hassan, a Hofstra Law School graduate, concentrates her practice in land use planning, zoning, municipal and environmental law and real estate.

Firm Helps Obtain Permit and Variances for Local Ice Cream Scoop Shop

Michael H. Sahn Esq., Managing Member of Sahn Ward Braff Koblenz PLLC, and Partner Joshua D. Brookstein guided Jonis Realty in obtaining a special use permit and variances from the Village of Roslyn Board of Trustees and the Board of Zoning Appeals to open a Van Leeuwen Ice Cream scoop shop in the Village. The store will be located at 1382 Northern Blvd. and will bring the famous Van Leeuwen ice cream, whose products can be found in scoop shops and grocery stores nationwide, to local residents while promising to be a great new addition for Village families.
