Swimmers and Kayakers Take Part in 12th Annual Distant Memories Swim

More than 20 swimmers and kayakers took part in the 12th Annual Distant Memories Swim on July 28. Bryan Proctor, a Huntington resident who started the swim as a way to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, Inc. (ADRC) and awareness about the disease, spearheaded the swim. This issue is very close to Mr. Proctor, as his grandfather and aunt passed away from Alzheimer’s disease.

89 Golfers Hit the Links to Raise Funds for Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, Inc.

On July 13, Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, Inc. held its Fifth Annual Col. Kenneth F. Lawlor Memorial Golf Outing at the Huntington Country Club. Eighty-nine registered golfers took part in the event, which raised funds for Alzheimer’s disease research and care.
