Roger Daisley Raises Over $1,000 for ADRC
During the “Ride to Montauk”

On June 1, ADRC Board Member Roger Daisley took part in the 16th annual “Ride to Montauk.” He raised $1,090 for Alzheimer’s research, exceeding his goal of $1,000.

Mr. Daisley left from the Babylon train station and biked 130 miles to Montauk. He dedicated the ride in memory of his mother, who recently passed away from complications associated with Alzheimer’s Disease, and his mother-in-law, who passed away with Alzheimer’s in 2002. The funds raised from the bike ride will be used to provide valuable resources needed to support local research projects, as well as programs and services offered to local families through ADRC.

ADRC Collaborates with Suffolk Community College to Offer ESL Classes

Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, Inc. and Suffolk Community College have teamed up to address a growing need in the care of individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease. “This is a vision turned into reality,” states Mary Ann Malack-Ragona, Executive Director/ CEO for ADRC. “As we work with our clients and students, we have identified language barriers that have a negative impact on quality care, a core focus for our local health and human services agency."
