ADRC Raises Over $50,000 at its 30th Anniversary Gala

On October 24, ADRC held its 30th Anniversary Gala at JEWEL by Tom Schaudel in Melville to commemorate the organization and raise money for those who suffer from Alzheimer’s Disease. The event raised over $50,000 for ADRC and its programs and services.

Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, Inc. Presents Preview Screening of "Alive Inside: The Story of Music and Memory"

Thirty people attended the showing and a discussion of the film "Alive Inside: The Story of Music and Memory" at Atria Kew Gardens on November 6. The event was presented by ADRC and Dan Cohen, founder of Music and Memory. The film documented how listening to music can positively affect patients with Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias as they are able to dance and recall memories from their youth while listening to music from their era.

On October 26, ADRC supporters gathered for the Center’s 2nd Annual Westhampton Beach Walk and Fall Festival at the Village Green in Westhampton Beach. More than 300 individuals and 37 teams participated in the 5K Walk.
