Brian Ridgway Appointed the Village of Old Westbury’s New Administrator
OLD WESTBURY, NEW YORK — The Village of Old Westbury has announced that Brian Ridgway has been appointed Village Administrator. In his new position, he will report to the Mayor and the Board of Trustees and coordinate with all the Village departments to ensure the effective delivery of municipal services.
Prior to joining the Village of Old Westbury, Mr. Ridgway served the Villages of Mineola and Garden City in various roles, including Village Clerk, Village Treasurer and Deputy Village Administrator. Before working in the government sector, he spent 15 years at IBM Corporation as an Instructor, Contracts Manager and in other administrative and management roles.
Mr. Ridgway served as President of the Long Island Clerks and Treasurers Association from 2004 to 2006 and President of the New York State Association of City and Village Clerks from 2007 to 2009. He has also been an active member of the Garden City Fire Department for the past 39 years; in 1998, he served as Chief of the Department.
Mr. Ridgway resides in Garden City.
