Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck Fall Weekend Respite Dates
CENTER MORICHES, N.Y. — Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck is once again offering its weekend respite program, extending the camp’s summer season to make it a year-round destination for children and young adults with disabilities.
Up to 20 campers ages six to 21 are invited to stay. Check-in is at 8 p.m. on Friday evening and campers leave at 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. During respite weekends, the camp will be staffed by Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck’s counselors and the camp nurse.
Campers can participate in various activities, including baking, arts and crafts, games, music and movies. There is a new theme each weekend. Camp resources are packed away until next summer, so campers’ families are reminded to pack sheets, blankets, pillows, towels and toiletries.
“We are excited to bring back this wonderful fall program,” says Camp Director Bridget Costello. “Our camp is designed to give children and young adults the opportunity to be themselves, and parents a chance to relax while their sons and daughters have fun and are cared for in a safe environment.”
The cost of each weekend for the remainder of 2015 (Friday to Sunday) is $350. The camp requires a $50 deposit per session which is non-refundable unless registration is canceled 30 days prior to the session.
