Celebrate “Thanksgivukkah” with Ben’s Catering or Dine In at a Location Near You!

Wednesday, November 6, 2013

Nov. 6, 2013 - Ben’s Kosher Restaurant Delicatessen & Caterers is celebrating “Thanksgivukkah” — the convergence of Thanksgiving and Hanukkah — with special holiday catering packages.

Ben’s is offering catering packages for Thanksgiving and Hanukkah for customers in the Queens, Long Island, Manhattan, and Florida areas. Each package will feed 10 people for $199.90. In addition, Ben’s will deliver catering orders to those who reside in Westchester (south of interstate 287) and Essex County, New Jersey for $219.99.

Thanksgiving and Hanukkah have not been celebrated on the same day in over 100 years, with the last occurrence in 1888. According to the Jewish calendar, Hanukkah begins at sundown on November 27, the day before Thanksgiving. This year, families will be able to enjoy latkes with their turkey to commemorate both holidays!

The Ben’s catering package for Thanksgiving and Hanukkah includes a 15-pound whole roast turkey, savory stuffing and gravy, fresh-cut cole slaw, cranberry-pineapple compote and an assorted relish tray. Customers can then choose two sides: roasted red potatoes with garlic and rosemary, thyme baked yams, fresh string beans, sweet potato pudding, and mashed potatoes. Customers can add the following items to their catering order for an additional charge: chicken soup, matzo balls, turkey gumbo soup, franks-in-jackets, mini knishes, a vegetable platter, mini-latkes with applesauce, apple pie and a fresh fruit salad bowl.

New York Metro area customers who place their orders by November 24 will receive two BUY-1-GET-1 meal coupons valued at over $40 on a Ben’s Friends Preferred Patrons Club card. The on-card coupon offer is not available for those ordering from the Ben’s Boca Raton location for Thanksgiving.

In addition to catering orders, Ben’s will be serving Roast Turkey Dinners at their locations in Long Island, Queens, Manhattan and Florida on Thanksgiving Day (reservations are recommended):

Long Island and Queens: Roast Turkey Dinners for $22.99; Kid’s Turkey Feasts for $9.99; seating available at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
Manhattan: Roast Turkey Dinners for $24.99; Kid’s Turkey Feasts for $9.99; seating available at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Boca Raton: Roast Turkey Dinners for $22.99; Kid’s Turkey Feasts for $9.99; seating available at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.

“We invite everyone to enjoy a unique holiday meal from Ben’s,” says Ben’s Founder-Owner Ronnie Dragoon. “This is a special day where two holidays converge and our customers can enjoy traditional American and Kosher cuisine, while spending quality time with their families.”
