All Proceeds Will Benefit Friends of Fort Totten Parks and NYC Veterinary Emergency Response Team

VALLEY STREAM, NY - Central Veterinary Associates (CVA) is once again sponsoring a low-cost microchip clinic during the Friends of Fort Totten Parks’ 13th annual “Family Fun Day” on June 24. Microchipping has become increasingly popular and important to pet owners as it ensures that the beloved family pet can be found should they run away or be stolen. The CVA microchip clinic is being held from 12 to 3 p.m. during the event at the Fort Totten Parade Grounds, located at 422 Weaver Road in Bayside, New York.
For a donation of $25, veterinarians from Central Veterinary Associates will help protect your pet with a Home Again microchip. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to The Friends of Fort Totten Parks and the New York City Veterinary Emergency Response Team (NYC VERT). The Friends of Fort Totten Parks is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide recreational, cultural and educational programs as well as services and facilities to make Fort Totten as great as it can be. The NYC VERT is a group of professionals who joined together after the tragedy of September 11, 2001 with a mission of ensuring that qualified veterinary care is available during disaster responses.
“We are so excited to be able to offer this low-cost microchip clinic again this year at Family Fun Day,” says Dr. John Charos, President and Chief Operating Officer of Central Veterinary Associates. “It feels great knowing that we are providing comfort to so many families while simultaneously protecting their family pets. By participating in this fun-filled day, not only are attendees ensuring their pet’s safety, but they are also helping a worthwhile cause.”
In addition to the clinic, Family Fun Day features games and activities for children and adults, including face painting, arts and crafts, police and fire education, pet adoptions, educational groups and more.
