Central Veterinary Associates to Provide Low-Cost Microchip Services at Mineola Street Fair

VALLEY STREAM, NY — Central Veterinary Associates (CVA) will host its annual low-cost microchip clinic, as part of a community service, during the Mineola Street Fair, presented by the Mineola Chamber of Commerce. The event will take place on Jericho Turnpike from Mineola Blvd. to Nassau Blvd. (Rain date is Sunday, October 4.)

CVA’s veterinarians will provide a Home Again microchip for a pet at a reduced cost to ensure its health and safety. A shelter or clinic will be able to identify the pet and contact the owner, should the animal run away or be taken by a stranger. Having a pet microchipped is a successful step in responsible pet ownership.

Those who visit the CVA vendor table will have the opportunity to ask the staff about their pet’s health and address any concerns they may have regarding their pet. CVA will also provide visitor’s coupons for free visits and pet-friendly giveaways throughout the event.

In addition to the microchip clinic, the Mineola Street Fair will have vendors, live music and entertainment.

“We are excited to offer this low-cost microchip clinic to our community at this sensational family event,” said Dr. John Charos, President/CEO, Central Veterinary Associates. “We encourage all pet owners to have their microchip their animals. Nothing is more devastating than losing a pet. Microchipping can ease families’ worries by ensuring the pet’s safety. We would like to invite all animal owners to visit our table during the Mineola Street Fair so that we may address any questions or concerns you may have.”
