Game Farm To Kick Off Its 46th Season

The Long Island Game Farm - Wildlife Park & Children’s Zoo will be opening for its 46th season of providing Long Island students and families with a wide array of animals, education, and ― most of all ― fun. The Game Farm will be open from Thursday to Sunday during opening week, and then on weekends only from April 18 until May 4, at which point the Game Farm will then again be open Thursday to Sunday. Starting on May 21, the Game Farm will be open seven days a week for the summer season. For information regarding dates of operation, please see the events calendar on the Game Farm’s website.

In addition to hand feeding and petting its animals, the Game Farm is excited to announce that all visitors will be invited into the nursery to take a look at the baby animals while the weather is still chilly. Also new to the Game Farm is an adorable herd of fluffy Alpacas, generously given to the Game Farm by the Ceruti family of Shoreham.

In celebration of its 46th season, the Game Farm will be offering coupons on its Facebook page for $5.00 off a regular ticket price valid throughout the month of April. Visitors can go to the Game Farm’s website, click on the Facebook logo and download the coupons from there.

“We are glad to reopen the Game Farm for the 46th consecutive year,” said Melinda Novak, Vice President/Co-Owner, Long Island Game Farm. “With the season underway, visitors can take a look at our baby animals and our latest arrival — a group of alpacas. It is exciting to have new animals join our family every year.”

The Game Farm will be open on the following dates over the next two months: April 8-12, 18-19, 25-26; May 2-3, 7-10, 14-17, and 21-31.

Summer shows and programs will be announced later in the season. For more information on Opening Week and prices, please call (631) 878-6644 or visit
