On Friday, October 20, the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand opening of Thred with a ribbon cutting that was attended by local elected officials, Chamber members, Thred employees, family members and friends. The boutique is located at 7 Village Green in Patchogue.

Thred is a unique contemporary clothing boutique where men and women alike can shop for edgy and classy clothing, shoes and accessories to complement their wardrobe. Thred showcases one-of-a-kind pieces made by its employees as well as local designers.

Thred Owner Merav Shiloni, a Patchogue Village resident, decided to open the store because of her love for fashion. “I like to sew and create,” she said. “I wanted to bring in a store that gives people something that is comfortable and fun to wear.”

Since she lived in the village, Ms. Shiloni thought it was the right move to open the store here in the Village Green. “I live here and I saw the revitalization going on,” she said. “I thought it was time to bring fashion into the Village — something it has been in need of for a long time.”
