J.R. McCotter Recognized for His Service on the Long Island Alarm Association’s Board of Directors

CENTEREACH, NY — Briscoe Protective Systems Inc. has announced that J.R. McCotter, Chief of Technical Services, was recognized for his service on the Long Island Alarm Association’s Board of Directors and his contribution to the association’s Fire Marshal Liaison Committee.

Mr. McCotter is a U.S. Navy veteran who has been in the Fire Alarm industry for over 12 years and holds a NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) Level III certification as a Fire Alarm Engineer. In 2008, he joined Briscoe as its Chief of Technical Services.

Mr. McCotter is originally from Hicksville, and currently resides in Bethpage.

The Long Island Alarm Association (LIAA) is a nonprofit organization that encompasses the fire industry’s security and fire alarm professionals. They meet to discuss new rules and regulations within the fire industry and innovative technology that improves various aspects of the business.
