Local high school robotics teams and their mentors
What: For the eleventh year in a row, Gershow Recycling is opening its Medford facility to local high school robotics teams who need aluminum scrap. The teams will use the scrap to construct their 120-pound robots that will compete in School-Business Partnerships of Long Island, Inc.’s 21st annual Long Island Regional FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition on March 22-28 at Hofstra University.
Teams scheduled to attend so far include Half Hollow Hills, Hauppauge, Huntington, Kings Park, North Shore, Plainview-Old Bethpage, Southold and Westhampton Beach.
