On October 9, LIMBA (Long Island Metro Business Action) will be hosting a panel discussion on “Labor’s Contribution to a Sound Economy.” Ernie Fazio, Chairman, LIMBA, will be joined by Patrick Guidice, Business Manager, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local Union 1049.
IBEW Local Union 1049 is one of the largest private-sector labor unions on Long Island with approximately 4,200 members. The union’s membership covers all utility work on National Grid US and Long Island Power Authority properties. This includes electric and gas line transmission, distribution construction and maintenance, line clearance, tree trimming, environmental restoration, wood pole restoration, grounds maintenance, power plant valve repair and replacement, electric generation turbine repair, and tele-data.
Mr. Guidice has been a member at IBEW for the past 17 years. He previously served as the organization’s Assistant Business Manager.
